This school holidays, Mia Kirkham is running two junior basketball workshops for young players.
Mia is a rep player and coach for McKinnon Cougars basketball club, Springys Accredited Practitioner and Physiotherapy student.
Suitable for junior basketball enthusiasts of all capabilities, aged 8-13 years old.
SESSION OUTLINE
These three hour intensive sessions begin with a warm up session at the Springys Conditioning Centre before moving across to basketball courts for the basketball workshop. At the end of the session we will return to the Springys Conditioning Centre for pick up.
There will be a snack break in between the two parts of the session.
WARM UP AT SPRINGYS CONDITIONING CENTRE
- Warm up programming is exercise physiologist-led, incorporating Springys exercises to fous on motor control skills and drills that challenge agility, balance and movement competency.
BASKETBALL WORKSHOP AT JOYCE PARK COURTS*
(APPROX 200M WALK)
- Form shooting/technique work
- Ball handling practice and challenges
- Teamwork
- Free throw practice
- Scrimmage/mini games
- Different passing types
- Competitive races and fun games!
*Basketball session may be moved to indoor courts in the event of poor weather. Drop off and pick up will remain at the Springys Conditioning Centre.
BOOKING INFORMATION
Dates & AVAILABILITY
We are running two sessions during the winter school holidays:
- July 17th | 9:00am – 12:30pm
- July 18th | 9:00am – 12:30pm
Availability is limited with a maximum capacity of 10 players per session.
Cost
Standard cost is $50 for a single player for a single day.
The following incentives are available for enrolling in both days and/or with multiple players:
- Single player enrolled in both days: $90 total (save $10)
- 2+ siblings enrolled in a single day: $45 each (save $5 per player)
- 2+ siblings enrolled in both days: $80 each (save $10 per player)
Enrolment fee is not refundable if your child is unable to attend.
WHAT TO BRING
Please pack a drink bottle, basketball and a snack for your child.
Register Your Player(s)
An invoice with payment link will be issued after enrolment is confirmed.
Your spot may be forfeited if payment is not made within 3 days of the invoice being sent.
